What a difference a day makes. A couple days ago I said my support group fell apart. Well it seemingly did. Then I get a call Wed morning asking why I wasn't at group. WTF!!! Well through talking and such I ended up meeting a couple people last night for a impromptu meeting. It went really well. We decided to meet twice a week and I was assured that they would attend. Well if that wont beat all. Guess I'm back in the gang.

Jump to today...This is a momentous day for me. For the first time in more than 5-6 years I am wearing jeans. Yea that's right I said JEANS. Ya know Blue JEANS. JEANS JEANS JEANS. I can't believe it. I never in my life thought I would be able to fit in another pair again. They are comfortable and I still have room (Size 50). I want to go out and celebrate but no one to go with. Still reeling in the fact that I have them on. It kinda feels like a dream. I got so many complements today at work I could not believe it. My boss was sitting in my chair the first thing today at work. He was up-training a coworker. He looked at me and said "Do you feel alright" I said I feel wonderful. Why? Then he says "I've never seen you in jeans. What have you been doing loosing weight?". WOW I couldn't believe it took me wearing jeans to make a impression on my boss. Anyway when I was walking out of lunch another person stopped me and politely asked if I was loosing weight. I said yep and she goes "you look great". WOW what a rush. Today was a very good day.

So I haven't been journaling or visiting all my buddies journals lately. I haven't really even been on FS except to log my food. Sorry to all my beloved peeps for keeping you in the dark. I thought I would come back with a bit of a bang. Here is a picture of my very first flat-out pizza.



I have read about them so much that I had to try it for myself. Can I say yummmmmm!! I couldn't believe all that was only 384 Kcal. It turned out pretty good IMHO but the center did not get very crispy. Probably because I used the toaster oven instead of warming up the big gun (aka oven). My wife even tried it. She is not a fan of pizza sauce or thin crust pizza but she seemed to like it. Speaking of my wife, she has been starting little by little to loose weight also. Not to the extreme as me but then again I did start slow. She woke me up the other morning with news that she lost 11 pounds in the last two weeks. WOW! Isn't that great. I have even started to notice a bit of difference (she has gone from 400 to 369). She is not keeping a log or journal but I think that shes just watching amounts that she eats. Our friend has also been keeping her busy instead of just letting her sit around. I'm am really excited for her.

So on to me...I started working on my weekly group meeting but that came to a screeching halt. The people that wanted to attend never showed up and the one that was hosting ended up not even showing up. I swear that you really can't depend on people these days. I have been slowly reworking my plan and goals for running a group. One day soon I hope to share it with you all and the world. It is not your typical weight loss group, that is all I'm gonna say for now.

We started remodeling another bedroom in the house. The first one was due to water damage and we hired a contractor and everything. This one we have decided to do ourselves. Its my daughters bedroom and we want to upgrade the room to drywall, wood paneling is so dated. Which of course turned into adding more electrical and possibly building a closet. Should be done...Heck I don't know it may take months but at least it will give me something physical to do on a regular basis.

Well tomorrow is a weigh day so I will be journaling that. Hope all is well with my buddies.

I know that there are some of you on here wondering what happened with my first support group meeting. The reason that I haven't posted about it is that the group has been my focus. Me and 2 other people sat down for about a hour and talked about how we wanted the group to go. We spoke about the progress I have made so far. I was even able to dispel some of the negativity associated with a couple of the words people use during weight loss (i.e. diet, exercise). I was almost late to work that morning because we couldn't stop our discussion. It was a great experience and I'm looking forward to our meeting next week. I am currently working on a name and a mission statement for the group. This is starting as a group geared toward weight loss but I have some great ideas and I am currently working out the details. Look for more to come on this.
