I feel hungry. I want sugar...which really means I'm bored, probably. Not much going on at work today.
On the plus side, the pants that I dread wearing don't feel like they are cutting into my stomach and I'm about to pop a button today, so there has been progress!

Another diet bomb of a weekend. We now have curling on Fridays and Sundays, my kid has wrestling tournaments every Saturday, and the other kid has play rehearsal too. So, between all the running around, I'm lucky that I eat at all, and it's usually crap, like pizza because I don't want to cook. Also the beer. It's just so good after a long wrestling tournament!
Baby steps, though. It takes a long time to break old habits. I ran into my sister-in-law at the gym this morning, which was a pleasant surprise. We're both trying to drop a few pounds, so having her as an accountability buddy will help :-)
Back on track this week. I inadvertently made way too much baked chicken last night, so that makes lunches easy for the rest of the week. Just add some cauliflower or tomato salad, and we're good to go. Also, instead of sitting around watching TV, I will be taking the kids to a skate party tonight and spending evenings catching up on the housework I didn't do over the weekend, so still moving until about 9:00 each day.

Oof, I'm pretty sure there was more meat in my lunch than I originally thought. I upped my calories to reflect 8oz rather than 6, BUT high protein, right? Hopefully I won't be hungry until 5:00. Definitely very full now.
I have noticed that my body likes to front load calories. If I do my breakfast shake and lunch around 11:30-12, then I'm good until at least 4 or even until I get home. Now that I'm realizing this, I'm fine with it. I typically don't eat a big dinner, so this works!

This weekend was a diet bomb! I didn't count calories, I ate carbs, I drank beer...but I moved more than I normally would on a weekend. I curled on Friday night and spend all day Sunday skiing. I ended up dropping a pound since last weigh in, and hubs noticed that my waist seems slimmer! Knowing this is working is motivation enough to get me back in the gym at 5:00 a.m. tomorrow :-)
