Just under 26 miles today and averaged just below 13 mph (there were more hills than I expected - total gain of 500 ft. but not all at once). It really makes a difference to ride with people that are better than you - I pushed myself and two hours on the bike went by so fast in the company of interesting people. Plus I burned over 1000 calories!!

Just under 18 miles this morning even with an aching back. I've committed to a 25 mile ride with an old friend tomorrow too! Egads, what have I done? Need to soak in a hot tub tonight to get rid of this soreness.

153.8! I hope it lasts until my next weigh-in on Tuesday. That's officially six pounds down since I started tracking again (almost exactly 30 days ago). Not the 10 I was hoping for, but I am still happy. Maybe 10 was a bit ambitious... taking a break from exercise today since everything HURTS thanks to my new personal trainer, but plan to be back on the bike tomorrow.

I'm glad the scale is going in the right direction, but I wish it would move a little faster.

21.5 mile this morning even though it was chilly (I didn't notice the chill after the first 20 minutes.) I could barely get my heart rate above 150 which means I need to start increasing intensity either by riding more hilly terrain (climb today was a 250 ft gain and I really had no problem with it), or increasing my lazy-ass cadence from an average of 75 rpm to an average of 85 rpm. My speed was about 12.5 mph.
