I am 48 years old and am 5'3" and I am a nurse. I have 5 children but raised 8. I decided to start working our last Christmas (2009) when we got a Wii fit plus. I started to lose some weight. Then I got a smart phone with this app on it and synchronized it to this website. I really enjoy being here and working on some of the challenges. They keep me motivated. My ultimate goal is to lose 140 lbs. This is my plan to prevent diabetes. Had gestational diabetes with my last child and that sets me up to potentially have type II diabetes now that I am older. I wanted to avoid that so it finally hit me that I needed to lose the weight. I wanted to see if I could do it on my own before I considered any surgical procedure. I like this website because of all the great stories that I read about people and it gives me inspiration and I hope that I can do the same for others.
