So I decided to take Christmas off, and then my birthday and then a vacation! I think I may have isolated the cause of my constant yo-yoing! Stopping and starting before ever hitting my goal. I didn't want to record a weigh in until I was back to where I had left off, but as my sister pointed out, that was counter productive.

Just pull yourself back into line and start again. It sometimes takes a while before we start properly. Just do it - Nike. ;-)

4 lbs is not bad for the time you were away!! You can have that off in no time!!

I've found that journaling every day on FS and recording my weight every day helps me focus and lose weight. I haven't developed the discipline to also record my food and exercise, but my diet buddies who do say that it's even more powerful.

Thanks guys. I promise myself to do better. And my little sis (ACW114) is doing great and will be an inspiration for me to keep up with FS, as are you all. I'll try to get back journaling and may even do the food thing. I wonder if I'm just bored with South Beach? Has anyone had any success with other diets?
