Ok...so I was originally ignorant was started out on induction, lost 16 lbs... gradually added some items and was doing the NETcarbs because the new book said I could/should. I switched back last Friday to 20 total carbs. I finally got my ketostrips today. Nope...not in ketosis. Dang! I thought I was doing so well cause I was keeping it below 20 net carbs ALL that time. Bad word* bad word* bad word*...my head is spinning around and I am puking up pea soup that I haven't eatten in months!
Then I had metamucil yesterday and I got mad at myself for taking it without realizing it has 5 carbs. DANG, I would want a spinach salad or protein drink instead. I ended up pouting the rest of the day!
And now I will be out of town for 3 days staying with my hubby at a beautiful Bed & Breakfast. I truly haven't had a difficult time with temptation. But knowing I am not in ketosis makes me think...what the heck, I will start on MOnday.
BUT NO, I really won't cause I feel so much better, I will stick to my 20 TC. I know the discipline is worth it and at least I have a few days headstart on getting back into burning fat.
On a happy note... my sister FINALLY decided to try Atkins...and has lost 12 lbs in 2 weeks! Yay for her! I will clue her in on the total carb thing!
