Must harden my resolve to keep going, as I still have far too much belly fat.

I think my food diary is public, Sw26. I'm just using calorie control and upping my exercise. I try for a balanced diet, although I am cutting right back on meat.
It doesn't always work, I have lapses, but when I'm on track I measure everything I eat and make sure I eat from 1500 -1800 calories. For an active bloke my size, this is low enough to produce consistent weight loss. This meant goodbye to lots of calorie dense foods. Grazing is my weakness rather than mealtimes, which are very controllable, so I try to use avoidance strategies when I get the urge to hit the pantry.
I have an advantage over many of you in that I live alone these days. I remember how hard it was to lose weight when I was cooking for the family. I have done it, but it takes real discipline to be cooking meals for hungry teenagers, whilst cutting back hard on yourself.
At the moment, I simply don't buy lots of the things I love (good cheese, multigrain crackers, artisan breads, olives, bacon, cream, chocolate, sausages, most red meats and so on.)
