Are you on the pills? They didn't work for me. I'm on Ozempic now and it has been great for me I am down 17 lbs in 7 weeks.

I think going off meds like this tends to cause some rebound. Do you think it would help to drink more water and up your fiber? You are so close to goal!!

I've heard that titrating down very slowly with the weight loss shots is better than stopping quickly, in terms of not regaining weight. You can slowly increase your calories to more normal range while still on the meds. The idea being that eventually, new habits will take over, including exercise and healthy food choices. I would refrain from added sugar and processed foods, to maximize your chances.

I took almost a full year to titrate down and continued to lose during that time and even after going off the shots. You need to do it slow and focus on eating habits. I believe part of what may be happening for you is a NOCEBO effect. Because you are now off the meds, you believe your hunger has returned and that you will regain the weight. You need to come off the shots slow.

Nocebo effect means you had a preconceived notion of what was going to happen even before you went off the medication. My approach was I WILL work myself off this medication slow and steady and have no weight rebound. If you need to go back on a really low dose to reset your approach do it.

Thank you for your insight everyone! I’ve decided I’m going to go back on the shots but titrate down slowly as suggested. I went from 70 units to 0 and I think that had been a reason for the rebound. I’m also upping my exercise and trying to eat as healthy as I can while focusing primarily on protein.
