I started a new job on Monday, and it's been great! I get to work from home, they got me a new computer...life is good! Have you ever been so stressed, you don't even realize how stressed you were until the stress is gone? I feel like I've grown taller because I don't have a weight on my shoulders anymore...and I lost my TOM bloat when I got on the scale this morning! Woo Hoo!

Gah! So I just got on the scale this morning to see how much weight I lost over the weekend. I was very good with my eating, and to my dismay the scale said I GAINED 3 pounds! How??? Oh well. Time to workout. It's still raining so I'm going to do a workout video. I'm trying the 30 day shred program, I got it from blockbuster.
We also went for our monthly grocery shopping trip. We've been trying to save money since I'm not working, so we cut our shopping from once a week to about once a month. We got a TON of groceries - soups, pasta, veggies, fruit, all kinds of healthy stuff - for less than $200! We've been doing this for the past few months, and we've cut our grocery bill in half!

Still going meat free, and I've been working out regularly. I still can't really work out that hard because of my back, but I've been doing Yoga, Pilates, strength training and going for long walks. I was so happy this morning when I got on the scale and faced a loss!!! Woo Hoo!!!

So, I'm trying to go meat free for 30 days...so far, so good. I've been at it since Sunday, and the only time I've been tempted was when we went to my MIL's last night, and she made slow cooked bbq beef...It was so hard to say no! I still have eggs, so this morning I had an egg burrito with a whole wheat tortilla. I can't do most of the meat substitutes, since I'm allergic to soy, so I've been having lentils, beans and eggs for most of my protien. That reminds me, I'd better get the beans on to soak while my nephew is taking a nap.
Josiah's mom has been sick for the last couple of months, so I'm watching him for a few days while she has some tests done. The doctors think she may have crohns, but they aren't sure. I've been trying to suggest that she switch to a "Cleaner" diet, because I'm sure eating fast food everyday can't be good for your system. Even while I'm watching Josiah, it's been hard to get him to eat fruits and veggies. It seems like everything he wants to eat is found in some shade of tan! Oh well, I'll just have to keep trying!
