I lost 63 lbs (my lowest weight was in 2007)...I maintained the weight loss for over a year and then began to gain. The gaining has been gradual and upsetting but, there was little i could do (yes, i felt hopeless) and that caused even greater distress and eating. alas, comfort eating has been my friend. exercise was obsolete. I have gained 28 lbs. My size 12 clothes don't fit. My size 14 clothes don't fit...I am back into a size 16...fuck.

I promised myself that I would make an effort after my dissertation proposal date. I "passed" my dissertation proposal on 1/15/10. Now, it's time to take back control of my weight. 1st, we'll begin with documentation. 2nd, no more out-of-control snacking - tasting is OK if you can stop, otherwise NO tasting. 3rd. we'll begin exercising 1-2x's per week.

Whether its your dissertation, internship applications, practicum, database group, relationship, or homework - Failure is not an option. Don't let your health/weight-loss be on a back burner! This battle will last forever, how can you find a happy medium. Lets do some searching. Go Team, Nicole!
