I'm from the South which means fried everything and gravy on top. It has taken a few years and a lot of adult maturity to truly care about the foods that I put into my body. Thankfully, now I do.

I am a professional recruiter by trade with a lot of focus on business development and customer relationships. This means I need to look my best and have lots of energy to run around to various meetings, interviews, and networking events.

Speaking of energy, I have three wonderful children. Keeping up with the laundry is exertion enough but let's add ball practices, school projects, hours of studying and homework to help with and everything else that comes with parenthood. I want to be the best mom I can be, mentally, emotionally and physically.. that means taking care of myself on all fronts and being a good example for them.

Last but certainly not least, I am married to the love of my life. He is liquid sunshine and on this weight loss wagon with me.

10/14/2015: Weight was 170 (3 pounds down from the weekend prior). Measurements - arms: 12 in, thighs: 22 in, chest: 44, waist: 42 (really shocked at the waist measurement but I carry on my weight in my mid section, picture an apple with sticks for arms and legs, haha). In addition to pounds lost, I'm looking forward to the inches being gone as well.
Clothing size - 12-14/ 30-32 in pants and large and extra large shirts
