I am 31 years old and have always battled with my weight. After high school i sort of grew into my wieght a bit more, but unless i was very vigilant, it would creep back on.
I am a paramedic, which is part of my weight problem. That is to say that my short bursts of intense activity during the day (i.e. lifting and carrying heavy loads for 5-10 mintues) makes me too tired to even think about exercise when i get home! Also, being in the truck all day, never knowing if we're going to make it back to base where my nice healthy lunch is waiting, makes it oh so tempting to just pop in and pick up some fast food while we have a couple minutes off. And when i work nights, i want to snack all night!
I have done weight watchers before and lost 20 pounds, but over the past 3 years have put it back on as i was working. I just got lazy with my eating habits, i admit it! I'm still using all the handy tools i got from last time i enrolled (my slide-rule Points calculator etc), which is really helping, but i really need to keep an eye on my portion control.
If anyone needs anything let me know, i'm here for support or just chats! Good Luck Everyone!!
