I know I promised to log in and weigh in more, but something has gone very wrong in my body and I have been going to the Dr. incessantly trying to identify what has happened. The short version of the story is that I have several symptoms, but most pertinent to this post is weight gain. Weight in the amount of 35 lbs. in 6 weeks! I was eating very lean and still gaining. They put me on a diet pill that works in your intestine called Xenical. They expected me to lose between 5-20 lbs. in the first month depending on diet and exercise. I weighed in last week after 5 weeks of this and lost 1/8 of a single lb., that's all! However, I did not gain any weight during this 5 week period, so I feel a little better about that. The dietitian decided to take me off of South Beach and instead I am to restrict my caloric intake/carbs.

Breakfast = 30 carbs
Snack = 5 carbs
Lunch = 30 carbs
Snack = 5 carbs
Dinner = 45 carbs

Accompanied by 3x weekly strength training and 15 min. walk 6x weekly gradually increasing by 5 min. a week until I reach a full 30 min.

All diet and exercise is to be logged into a journal and brought to appointments.

Also, my endocrinologist has changed me to a different diet pill called Meridia. I'm expected to lose a minimum of 4 lbs. in the first month.

Wish me luck. I am getting married in July and am terrified to go wedding dress shopping with the extra weight.

Since I am no longer doing the SB I will probably create a new account or just not weigh in anymore. These days I am weighing in at 176lbs.

You can change your diet, you don't have to create a new account. You can make your own diet and keep it private if you want, or share it. =)
