5 days to go.

A few months back, I had 50-something days until my goal, and I was motivated. Now I have 5 days before the All-American Rejects concert and meet-and-greet, and I've lost.. under ten pounds. Pathetic. I had a specific goal (20 pounds) and felt sure I could meet it.

Well, I just suck, apparently. Not even halfway to my goal because I love food too much and I have no willpower. I also am a lazy-ass who started off exercising and failed miserably. I'm really sick of this always happening, and I know it's my fault. I KNOW I'm lazy. I know I need to change if I want to get un-fat before I leave my twenties, but.. damn it, why does it have to be so hard?

I need help. Any suggestions/tips/comments would be greatly appreciated!

I hear ya. I have a horrible time with will power. I started out last Nov at 254 and am now 170. I was 159 but then got lazy. Its tough to get up and make time to exercise everyday and to put down the fork. I can offer a few suggestions that helped me so much until I stopped doing them. 1- I didnt eat after 7:30pm. When I first started that I think I lost 8lbs the first week alone!! I was still well over 200 at the time. 2- Exercise, no ifs ands or buts about it, it must be done. I forget all my tips I had but I have a blog that chronicled my journey. http://fromfattofab-linnea.blogspot.com/ You can do this. It is hard but so well worth it. When I dont feel like exercising I pop on Walk away the pounds. It is an easy workout that burns calories and gives you energy and boosts your metabolism. The 1 mile is 15 mins long, not a bad starting off point. She has a walk and jog that is 2.5 miles, a 3 mile express a 4 mile express a 5 mile, one with bands one with weights. She has a ton. I bet your library would have them if you didnt want to buy them. For a long time that was the only workout I did. I lost i'd say 85lbs just doing walk away the pounds. I hated walking on the treadmill and when I did BL workouts or Jillian Michaels I would quit half way thru it. I hope you start to see some progress bc a little progress on the scale or in your jeans will also help motivate you. Have fun at your concert.

Another thing that helped me was having an accountability partner and healthy competition.

Thank you so much! Those are some great suggestions. I'll have to look for the DVDs at my library. If they don't have them, I may just sneak one onto my Christmas list. :) Something new to do will definitely help, and after looking at the scale post-Thanksgiving I am going to head to the gym after I put up my tree. :)
