Day three of atkins induction: Not bad! I have had some sugar cravings but I satisfied those with BACON! I don't feel as bloated, although I still feel like I am retaining water, but I think that has to do with the meds. I had to take a pain tab last night after spending the day creating Luisa'a beautiful robe! (YAY!)

Funny, I feel like my mind is not as foggy, I did not experience that mid afternoon drowsiness yesterday...maybe because of the lack of sugar?

I am actually still kind of full from my salad last night...making huge salads that are hard to finish...need to cut back on the salads portions so I dont waste food!

Goal for today...get stevia and the stuff to make OOPsie rolls...and get my sewing work done! Walk 2 miles tonight, need to remember BALANCE...work, persosnal and ministry.

WELCOME.. sent you a buddy request. Yes, the foggynesss going to be gone and then randomly one day you may just get a burst of energy then never goes away. The 1st two weeks are the worst but just do it one day at time and you will love the end results. Planning ahead has always helped me. Congrats on you decision to go low carb....

Amy30...Thanks for reminding me!! I used to use her blog years ago! redgirl....thanks for the encouragement! I lived the atkins lifestyle in 2011 and fell off the wagon!! Feeling better already!

When I was in induction and still had sweets cravings, I would eat about 1 tbs of butter or a teaspoon of coconut oil. Cravings would disappear completely.

Good luck Julia! Oopsie rolls are great! Also look into MiMs as well. When my fam all have something sweet it helps I can whip up a chocolate MiM to satisfy when everyone else is enjoying cake yet still stay on atkins, even induction with Mims :) You'll get through the Induction "flu" and feel great by the second week. I just started today myself! Well... "restarted" lol

I LOVE Mims!! I had one this morning. I like to cut mine in slices and toast them in the toaster oven. And I also make them with cocoa powder and put cream cheese on them (in phase 2) they taste like a cream cheese brownie!!
