Goal 1 accomplished. I am exactly 200 lbs today. I have to admit, I was secretly hoping it would say 199 (who wouldn't, right?). I am happy. It's taken ten days to lose 12.6 pounds. Ready for round two! Bring it on!

Thanks everyone! I can't wait until my next goal, now. I wonder if I can attain it in ten days? I know it gets harder as time goes on! Still, I'm going to stay positive. I'd rather stay at the same level then to gain, right?

pups7--I am counting calories and doing a low-fat diet. It worked for me before and it's the only thing that does work. It's difficult at first, but within a week, it gets easier. I am trying to increase my water and plan on making some of Dr. Oz' "Sassy" Water today. The big key--when you feel like you have to eat, grab some veggies--steamed bag, fresh veggies (have them already cut)--any of that is better than junk.

Pam--the other thing I have to add is that I'm very heavy. I started out at 212.6. The heavier you are, the more you will lose, at first. If I started out at 140/150, I probably wouldn't have lost that much. It's probably a lot of water weight.

What's your plan for maintenance when you hit your goal? I, this time, have one. I know my calories and will be bumping up 10% in each 2 week period to see where my maintenance calories truly lay. I don't ever want to have to lose more than about 5 pounds at a time in the future. It's so easy to hit our goal and then squander what we have done. :(

I'm not sure. I don't even know how to go about figuring it out. I am with you in the fact that I never want to have to lose more than five pounds again, though. I knew when I stopped my diet last time that I really went way off of it. I kept eating high calorie foods and stopped exercising. To go from a size 6 to a 16 (and I should have been in an 18), is a huge difference. How do you figure your calories?

check your BMI and then your BMR. Its easy. Here's a calculator I like to use. It will walk you through the steps. http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/

12.6 lbs in 1- days ... that's wonderful. You are definitely headed in the right direction. And it appears you have the rght attitude to do what you set your sights on ... good for you!
