Okay, daughter & grandson are moved in. Now today I will try and get my routine back in some sort of order. I have to remember that I started this healthy living journey for me. Like most women I am much better at putting my needs aside and doing everything for everyone else and I come last. But this is something that I need and want to do for myself and for me that means taking time for myself.
I got up this morning and after visiting with my daughter over my first cup of coffee I turned on my Dance and Be Fit program and started doing my exercise. Today was the Merenge. Whew! I couldn't keep up, but I did sweat and get quite a work out (and I had fun too). At one point my daughter asked me if I could watch Ben while she stepped out of the room for a minute. I picked him up and continued dancing around the living room. He loved it. Then she asked if I could help her watch him later today while she did some things around the around the house. I told her "I don't want to sound harsh, but those are some of those single mom things that you are going to have to learn how to do." You can still rearange your room and clean and watch your son at that same time too.
I want to help her, but I do not want to enable her by just doing everything for her. I was a single mom with 2 kids for a long time. You learn to do a lot of things (multi-task) and still care for your children. We want to help her learn she can be independent again. I have let my housework and other activities go for the past week so that that I could be there for her totally. Today I called into work because I am exhausted and I also need to get my housework and laundry done.
Okay....enough venting. Today is going to be a great day!!!! I speak it into existance! My husband and I have started a new business that we are very excited about. We are still learning more about it, but have ordered some of the products last night and are axiously awaiting the arrival of them so that we can try them out!!!!

I'm inspired by your commitment to your daughter, and having her learn what she needs to know in order to be on her own in the future. That is so great! And YES, speak it into existence!! That's how stuff happens!! :)
