I am feeling extremely frustrated because I am following South Beach and my weight has not budged in a 5 days. I am doing Phase 1. Sometimes I think my body simply cannot lose weight. I could easily stop, but I am determined to stick with it. I'm even exercising.

Hey girl....I feel ya...I'm stuck too!! Make sure you are drinking lots of water and maybe try varying the amount of calories you are taking in. Sometimes your body needs a higher calorie day to know you aren't starving it. That's what I'm going to try. Goodluck...stick with it!!

Don't get discouraged. When I did phase one I didn't lose as much the first week as I did the 2nd week...I think I lost 11 pounds in two weeks but the first week was not the best of the two. I think thats why some people stay on phase one for three weeks. I choose to only do the two weeks. Stick with it and stay on program 100%... if you cheat it will slow down the weight loss, if you stick it out for the two weeks without cheating it will pay off for you. Im absolutely sure of it

I would suggest using your food diary, I really have seen it help a lot in figuring things out. Sometimes it's a very tiny thing that can so easily be adjusted or tweaked. you can do it!

Also, give it time. I can stay the same for 6 days and on the 7th the weight will drop.

I agree that the food diary will help you learn alot about your daily food intake. Try it for a week or two. I know you don't have to count calories on SBD but I kept a strict food diary and tried to stay around 1100-1200 calories per day and lost consistently by counting. I sure learned a lot about portions, calories, fat, proteins, carbs, etc. by seeing how everything added up for the day. Be patient and the weight will come off sometimes suddenly after many days of no loss.

Keep at it! I also agree, filling out the diary can help. If you're not eating lots of steamed vegetables, definitely do. That sweeps out the system and then the loss is more steady. I am saying this because I ran out in the past couple of days and I saw my weight start to climb even though I have been doing everything right.
