I finally broke down and went clothes shopping today. I was determined to go only to thrift stores, because I am determined I will be losing more weight quickly! I found out that not all thrift stores are really thrifty... I went to Goodwill, and got a new pair of pjs for $6, which I kinda cringed at. I went to our Humane Society Thrift store and found nothing. I went to Hospice Thrift store and baulked when I saw they wanted $6 for a skirt and $5 for a top. After that we made a brief trip to the Salvation Army where I got a pair of kahki's (size 20) for $5 and a top for $3. After this I decided to check the clearance racks at Dots out and found 2 tops at $5 each a skirt for $7, and of course some more sunglasses for $2 and another pair for $4, hehe. One of the tops is a 2x that fits perfectly, but will be baggy very shortly! We then went to Kohls where I got a top and pair of dress slacks (size 20!!) for about $20. I think I will just make sure that when I buy more clothes next month, I just hit the clerance racks. I don't think the thrift stores are really that much better to have to deal with the scanning each item for a size to save $1. Maybe Im just being lazy too, lol!
When I started on my diet on May 20th, my pants were a size 26. Today I bought a size 20!! I got a pair of pants and a skirt both in 20s (2 different brands and stores)!!!
I am sooo excited to do this. It made me feel great about myself and as my husband pointed out, the next size will be in the teens, which I havent seen in YEARS!
I am so grateful for my husband and how supportive he is. I hope he doesnt get bored with how much I talk about all this dieting, lol!
