Great workout today. 45 minutes on the elliptical stepper and pushed hard. 589 calories burned.

I tried something new today. I got up earlier, had a cup of coffee, and read a bit of a book before I went to workout. I've always assumed that coffee before a workout wasn't a good idea, but recently I read that the jury's out on this. Apparently there are good arguments on both sides. Anyway, for me it was good. I was more alert at the gym and felt like working out harder. (BTW I hope Herbie reads this; she's also a coffee addict like me.)

I hear ya on the coffee fix first thing in the morning! I have my two cups.....and feel like I can get on with my day.....Great job on the workout......Your chart will scoot back down now that back from your business trip.....Glad it was successful....Keep focused!

Great on the workout..the coffee might be what you need to perk you up enough to get that great workout..try it for a week and see if it helps..might be something you need to add to your day to get the workouts you need...

Hey dheimer, good to see your posting! I haven't been around FS much -- I've been crazy busy with work AND dealing with illness that my family and I are all passing back and forth all winter. Bah. I love the coffee/workout combo. Sounds like it's working for you! I approve. :)

589 calories burned!! Way to go, thats an entire supper in calories! maybe I need to try your methold of coffee and morning workout. I got on my treadmill the first week I started and could only go about 20mph for 30 min... I burned enough calories for one apple! yeah!
