Yesterday went well, apart from 3.5 hr drive down to Brighton.. phooka' s explanation about the football match explains it!
Went to lunch in Brighton . Had goats cheese salad and deconstructed it to guess the amounts of ingredients. Ate 6 pomegranate seeds and 3 little chunks of orange. Avoided the garlic bread and drank Diet Coke. I've discovered Diet Coke is no longer a treat for me and I couldn't finish it. Put a photo of lunch in my diary.. it apoeats to have posted to my feed.. now I understand why others post random pictures of food with no explanation.. it's probably not intentional ☺️🙂
We were going to go on the Blackpool 360, a vertical cable car, but the girls decided to go to an ice cream parlour instead. I didn't even have a taste! They had ice cream sundaes with chocolate brownies, marshmallows, cream and syrups.. genuinely didn't appeal to me, but it was fun watching them enjoy it.
Stopped at McDonald's at 9 pm on the way home and I had.... A pack of almonds!!
So, a much shorter 2 hour drive home with the sleeping teenagers rounded off their trip nicely.(thanks phooka, left before the football traffic, then stopped later on the way home as the traffic was good 😊)
Watching mo farah get a silver and poor Bplt pull up with cramp in his last ever race.. reminded me that we can only prep and do our best, the outcome is not always what we want, but we can't do More than our best!!
Bit of a profound thought for 7 am on a Sunday morning 😉 Off to the hairdressers today to get my hair done before the wedding ( a lot of my older relatives who aren't on fb or didn't see me last summer are probably expecting to see a brunette 😉😉
