Good morning, FS!

Feeling AHHHMAZING this morning, and not just about the lose. Up at 6 a.m. bursting with energy. I don't need a meter to measure ketones, I can feel them. Just HAPPY, HAPPY, HAPPY! :D

BP3 - how is the lower fat, higher protein working for you? Is this contributing to your weight loss? I am doing the opposite, higher fat and lower protein because the protein raises my BGLs.

Thanks, everyone! WOOOOHOOOOO, yes Rayvne. I feel like a freakin rock star..LMAO!!! Not about the loss, but I just feel GOOD! Yes, it is contributing to my loss because I'm not hungry anymore. I was really hungry before! The book explains that the 80% fat rule is for maintenance mode. You see, now that we have built fat burning enzymes (keto adapted) we are tapped straight into burning fat storage. So.. even though the plan looks high protein, it's still a high fat diet because the deficit calories are coming from fat storage as we are "eating" stored body fat when there is a deficit there. I don't know a lot about diabetes per say, but I am insulin resistant. My BGL are still at 85 and I'm in ketosis with the increase in protein.
