So much stress from so many locations at once. I have a huge problem with eating my stress. I tried going on a walk, running, watching a movie, talking, reading. Food is my drug for stress. Life always has stress and as long as I continue on this self destructive path, I am going to yo-yo with my weight. I need to figure out how to better deal with stress.

I can relate. I always get hungry and have lack of will power when stressed. I am trying to drink water instead, but it doesn't fill the "crunch" need. I exercise with Kettlebells and that really burns the calories in a short amount of time; helps with the stress and to burn off the calories consumed when stressed. I am trying to find something that satisfies the crunchy need during stressful times. I think celery will only be a limited option--kinda tasteless. I like the calorie counting because if you search, you can find low-cal options (like popcorn. Don't bog yourself down in guilt--it's counterproductive. Forgive yourself and keep trying.

Stress eating used to be my Achillies Heel. I personally found since I broke free frome my sugar addiction, that it isn't anywhere NEAR as bad anymore. One thing I will suggest though, I found that keeping a small bag of Hershey's kisses at home, when stressed I would take about three and slowly suck on them and let them dissolve as opposed to just gulping them down. If I REALLY concentrate on the flavor and enjoy the taste, I found this helps more than if I had gone and grabbed the whole bag and horked them down. It was hard at first because what I really wanted to do was eat about a million of them, but if I take a step back and CONCENTRATE on the flavor and let it dissolve slowly, It works for me personally. BUT the best stress reliever I've found, batting cages or a punching bag. Something where I can hit something else helps A LOT!!!
