Today was an up day, and I probably ate around 1000 calories total. Though, most of them were chicken strips, so not too proud of that. So much for low carb (so much breading!). But still, low calorie all around, so hopefully it won't hurt much. Tomorrow is a down day. I prepared a new batch of soup. This one is kind of carby, coming in at around 15 net carbs per serving, but that's because it has a lot of veggies including squash and carrots, and mostly because of the spaghetti sauce I put in it. That may sound weird, but I had an open jar in the fridge and thought it would add a nice flavor to the soup, and it did. It's an Italian veggie soup with a little bit of shrimp in it. I copied from my cookbook if anyone is interested. Any JUDDDer could make this entire pot and eat nothing but that all day and it's under 500 calories for the whole batch, 10 cups!


2 servings chopped celery and onions (it's 7 oz of chopped onion and celery total)
4 servings (one packet) lipton onion soup mix
1 serving bolthouse farms baby carrots
2 servings classico tomato basil sauce (one cup)
1 serving white mushrooms (3 oz)
1 serving market pantry cooked shrimp (3 oz cooked shrimp)
1 serving italian seasoning (1 tsp)
1/2 oz minced garlic (1 tbs)
1/2 tsp black pepper
4 oz zucchini
4 oz summer squash
3 oz red bell pepper
8 cups water

Cut up all ingredients however you would like. I like leaving the zucchini and squash in larger chunks and making the bell pepper, mushrooms, and shrimp smaller bits. Brown the onion and celery mix a bit so the onions are slightly tender.
Add all other ingredients, and bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer.
After about 30 minutes remove about 4 cups of soup and veggies and puree, then add back to soup pot. This helps thicken it up a bit. Simmer uncovered for another 30 minutes to reduce some.

Yesterday was an up day, but I probably ate more than I should have. It was my boyfriend's mom's birthday so we ate yummy food at her house (bean and cheese chalupas with guacamole..I had 2), and since my birthday had been Sunday, she gave me some chocolates. That was at lunch. Then I didn't eat again until 10:45 and it was some leftover cake, a jr. burger from whataburger (mmm), some low carb pasta with meatless sauce, THEN some ritz crackers. O.O Amazingly, somehow still am down almost a pound.

Today is a down day... I had a shake for breakfast for 160 calories, I was going to try and sip it, but 10 minutes later, my son came back inside. He had missed the bus, so I decided.. hey, I'll go work out after I drop him off. So I drank it, changed, grabbed the water bottle, and set off feeling like 'yeah, going to the gym, wooo.' I like zumba a lot. And yoga, the 3 times I tried that. Apparently, I do not like the body combat class at Gold's. I only stayed in it for 15 minutes. The motions are too precise, fast, and jarring for me at this stage. I'm slow and fat, but at least with zumba I can keep up pretty well and not look like a complete idiot. I feel zumba is more forgiving. Anyway. I left body combat and did a mile on the elliptical machine, then sat in the sauna for 15 minutes, and left feeling pretty defeated. Well, hopefully I'll have a good day with my calories and see another drop on the scale.

I ate under 1000 calories yesterday for my 'up day' but I guess that was more like a middle day. Went to the gym and did an hour of zumba which made me sweat like crazy. I weighed myself before bed, and I don't know if I was just retaining water or my scale was reading funny or what, but it said I was 228! O.o Then when I got up I weighed at 219.8 (several times to make sure) lol Muuuuch better. I must have just had swollen muscles and a lot of water in me before bed, I did chug a lot after my work out. Today is my down day. Last night I made a low calorie soup (chicken, lots of veggies, no starchy ones), one serving is something like 111 calories according to the recipe generator thing, and I divvied it up into containers and froze 2 and kept 2 in the fridge. I slept late so I didn't have breakfast and for lunch I had a bowl. So, off to a great start of a down day. :)
