Brought my Atkins book with me today-need to figure out what isn't working. I started counting NET carbs (was counting total) and added more veggies and omitted the EAS shakes 2 weeks ago (I did not think the shakes were an issue) I also lowered my RDI to 1600 but that is not enough calories since I seem to be hungry more than before I was watching my calories. Weight has not changed since 9/10 and I measured this morning and have had no change since May! Other than walking, exercise is not an option due to a back injury-I tried some light yoga streching a few weeks/months ago and my injury flared back up-so that is out for now.
Something's gotta give!

UGH! I know I said I was going to be more positive but gimme a break already!
My husband found out he has a tumor on his spine...treatment? MORE RADIATION (cancerous or not). Damn it! he just did 6 months of chemo for his liver!
He has these little tumor things all over his body-always has. Found out yesterday so does his real dad and his dad just found out that his are cancerous so now DH has to go have all those tested and removed. He said last night he does not care if he looks like Frankenstein as long as they can build him back together. He is also going to have one knee at a time operated on-6 months recovery per knee…he anticipates being down for another year or two with all this crap. he's been 'down' for the last 2 already with the liver and both broken elbows.
I am not religious (not to offend those who are I respect everyone's personal choices) so I can't believe that watching my DH go through hell is my 'purpose' in life.
No wonder I can't lose weight-just when I think I can let go of my stress i am handed another full plate of it.
At least it isn't raining today :)

Had a wonderful and busy weekend with DH. Scale showed a 176 this weekend-which is amazing. I did not record it...this morning back up to 179 agian. I feel 'puffy' so I hope it is water and the 176 will show up again. I don't think morning is the best time for me to weigh in LOL

I ROCK!!! Went to lunch with my friends who stuffed thier faces with pizza, fried chicken, jo-jo's, pudding and caramel covered cinnamon rolls (this is just 2 friends eating all that). I stuck to my guns and had the salad I planned to have with lettuce, broccoli, mushrooms, tomatoes, a hard boiled egg and oil and vinegar dressing, because I didn't trust them not to have high-carb ranch. Now if I can watch them eat that and not go nuts with feelings of deprivation, I can do anything :)

Glad it is Friday-weight is still holding steady; still in ketosis. Sure wish something would budge...even just a little. I am getting tired of seeing the same number everyday. I will measure this weekend to see if any change is there...last time I measured there was no change either but that was about a month ago I think.
