I know I weighed in yesterday but I was so excited to see the 2 pounds down this morning I had to do it again. YIPEE!!

This last week hasn't been great. We were camping over the longweekend and because it was soooo hot it was hard to get motivated to exercise. Camping food really was great either. The good news is I didn't gain weight which is my goal for the summer. I know that doesn't sound like much of a goal but for me the summer is always the worst for gaining because of all the camping, bbqs etc. but I am determined that isn't going to happen this summer. I am also very excited to have my new exercise machine home too. So now I have a eliptical and a recumbant bike. Hopefully this will help me keep motivated!

Today is Wednesday and so far so good. I haven't been staying strictly to any "diet" but just really trying to be aware of what I am putting into my mouth. I have been definately getting back to exercising again so that's good. Tomorrow I get my new recumbant bike. It will be a nice addition to my home gym. I am hoping that that this will help keep me motivated through the summer. We are going camping this weekend for a week or so, so I am a little nervous. In the past, this would have been a real challenge for me. But... this is a new day and I am determined that this summer I will not gain weight. That is my Goal, that come September I will not have gained weight. And loosing will be a bonus. I am taking lots of 100 calorie snacks so hopefully this will help.

Today is Sunday. Its my "rest" day. At least I try to make it that way. I am realizing more and more how important it is to take time to rest. After church we had lunch with some friends and this went well.... however, then my husband invited a bunch of our friends to come over for a bbq. This was more of a challenge... but I will not be discouraged by this. I will start again NOW!! I am reading a great book called Scale Down by Danna Demetre. It is a realistic guide to Balancing, Body, Soul and Spirit. It is really helping me get focused.
