In March 2006, I weighed 255 lbs and stood at 5 foot 2"; that's a lot of women. I turned 39 in January 2006 and took an honest hard look at myself in the mirror - and I didn't like who I saw - I wouldn't say I wanted the outside, and I was pretty tired of who I was on the inside too.
I started thinking about my daughter (she was nine at the time) and how I wanted to be around to see her have children and knew that if I kept eating like I was and not exercising, I wouldn't be around to see that. I was being a terrible role model and wanted my daughter to look up to me and want to be around me - I knew I wasn't that to her, and I didn't like being around myself, so I knew no one else did either, especially her.
So, I started my lifestyle change in March 2006 and lost 115 in a year! I was feeling great, looking great, and started loving myself - I ran my first 5K in May 2007 and my first 10K in October 2009!
Well, back in July 2010, I started slacking off on my exercise routine and started eating more than I should - I fell off the wagon - I don't know why, but I did – well, I do know why – my brother moved in with my family and me and slept on our couch for almost three months – He threw my whole routine and life out of whack and instead of making some adjustments – which if anyone knows me knows it's close to impossible for me to do – I just quit - my head just wasn't in it anymore.
Since then, I have gained a little over 50 pounds!!!
I've been trying to get my psyche right again since the 1st of January 2011. SO....here I am today - (now it's March 2015) - I believe I am ready to "get back on my wagon."
Oh yeah, I'm a Corporate Services Administrator for a civil engineering firm - so the most exercise I get during the day is getting up and peeing!

Update - January 2, 2017
I've finally got my head together and now weigh 133 pounds.

Update - September 23, 2021
I'm starting all over again.
