I am 58 years old. I am the mother of 4 sons. I was a single parent from the time the youngest was 4 I have lost weight and regained it with interest. I have found that it is much more difficult to shed since I am now post menopausal. In 2013 I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, stage IV COPD, hepatitis C, morbid obesity, and a torn muscle in my left hip joint that makes walking painful. None of this has been good. I have no desire to die anytime soon and figure I best start taking better care of myself. Exercise is not a possibility at this time as my inflammation levels remain much too high at this time. I have looked into a Ketogenic diet and figure that is what will work best for me and my medical conditions. I have started this process by elimination of sugar from my diet. As I was a 4-6 12oz cans of Dr Pepper a day and Zero now for 3 days, I figure I am off to a good start. My next step lead me to this website where I can chart my progress and track my carbohydrate intake as I want it to be 10% only of my daily intake. Fats will make up 70% and proteins 10%. Lets see how I do. This is my motivation to stay on point and makes me be accountable for my own progress. It is why I have left my settings open for any and all to see.
