Day 3 IF

ok so yesterday's workout fell a bit flat to me, I was drained and I felt that my energy levels weren't great in actual fact I felt as weak as a kitten.

Basically I need someone who has done IF for an extended period of time to tell me this to will pass please:)

I do my IF un such a way that I have my last meal a few hours before my work out, I have never had a energy problem.

Im also on day 3 today and I also felt the same way I ate from 12.30 pm yesterday and my workout was at 18.30 pm but I still felt weak throughout the session. I will see How it goes today.

I posted this on Sinoza's journal entry : The trick to IF is to have a good supper with lots of protein so that it carries you through your fasting hours the next day. Try timing your workout so you can break fast immediately after working out and consume a whey protein shake.

I have my last meal at 5pm and breakfast at 10 am. I always exercise in the morning, purely because I dont have time later in the day. As Big Boy Optimus says, lots of protein on the last meal does the trick. I avoid starchy foods as they tend to influence my mood too much. This has become very comfortable for me such that breaking my IF routine results in overeating for the rest of the day. I would say try different techniques until you find what is suitable for you and your lifestyle.

It is really important that you don't deprive yourself and get proper nutrition in your eating window. If I do this well I feel great when I'm fasting. I drink coffee with a tablespoon of coconut oil in the mornings that I fast. I find that it works for me. And I also find that if I eat high carb meals before I fast I get a headache and almost a 'handover' feeling which is awful

most convenient IF is just to skip breakfast.. and have lunch by 12:00 or 1pm. nice supper at 7'ish. Try not to snack too much (I used to climb into stuff like peanuts or some chilli sticks around 9 or 10..) 2 meals.. just skip 1. no snacks. Lots of water or coffee with sugarfree stuff.. or just diet coke/pepsi. <number 1 rule. don't drink ur calories> What I also sometimes do, I load up on chia seeds into a shaker.. with protein shake or wazoogles or something (readup on wazoogles. Superfoods galore.. best shakes ever). Chia makes you feel full whole day.
