I ran my first 5k this weekend!! When they put that medal over my neck I felt like I had been crowned at the Olympics, haha. I never liked running but I think I found a new thing. It was a cool environment and I met good people and I think training for me events like 5k's and 10k's and dare I think about that half marathon (13 miles) in October (yikes!) will help me stay in the gym and stay active and continue running leading to more weight loss. It's a win-win.
