I wanted to wait until I was certain that my will power was as strong as I had hoped before I put this down. I spent 2 days this week at a corporate training session where 2 out of 3 meals a day were catered in, snacks were provided twice a day as well. The breakfast was doughnuts and pastries, lunches were FULL of pastas, and the snacks were fruits and cookies. I had coffee for breakfast (continuance of my daily fast), a wrap for lunch yesterday that wasn't as high in carbs as the library said since I didn't eat the tortilla, a salad and some veggies today, and for the first time in my life, I said NO to cookies each time I was asked! Some may eyeroll at this, but fresh cookies are a big weakness with me!

You said no to fresh, warm cookies? That's hard core! --- I'm baking brownies sometime soon (rather than tipping butcher, who accommodates a lot of my snowflakey requests). The last few times have been ok, but in the past, trying some tipped off a several-day sugar extravaganza. Now I deliver them whole-pan, uncut. Makes it easier but I'd still better plan a good meal to eat beforehand.--- There was a time when I could have a tiny bit of brownie and be more than satisfied, even kept individually wrapped bite-size ones in freezer. Not sure what happened but that's not where I am right now.
