Bad ending to the first week of this new way of eating. Friday morning I woke up and felt as though a truck had hit me, and to top it off, my right ankle was KILLING ME! Long story short, BAD cold and one heck of a GOUT flare up at the same time. I honestly don't know what all I ate all weekend, if my bride brought it to me, I ate it or drank it. Quite a bit of tart cherry juice was consumed since that helps me a lot with gout. Weighed this morning and didn't gain, so that's a plus I guess. Starting over again today, sore foot and all.

I am except for the gout. It takes a while to go away. Weighed today and still lost, so I'm grinning! Thanks for checking.

I read somewhere that the first few weeks of Keto can bring on a gout attack, but after that it will actually help alleviate it...hope that is the case. Hang in there and get well.

Yeah, my Dr warned me about it possibly happening, and he said the same as you, after a little time on the diet I should have a better time with it.
