My frist journal of this year's weight loss journey.
Friday and Saturday I worked out for 31 and 58 minutes. I took Sunday off. I felt a little bad anyway.
So I've been doing Yoga, strength training, aerobics, and balancing with the Wii. Today I racked up 60 minutes. That's more than I was working on in the gym! And don't think...just because it's on the Wii it's not a true work out. HA! It's kicking my butt more than the gym ever did. I feel much better. The only thing that I'd like to get more of is cardio. I don't feel complete for some reason. I think in a few weeks we're going to look for bikes for Q and I to start riding. Is that considered cardio?

I want to say that I'm not a runner. I've always been the heavier girl that didn't have the endurance for long distance. I was really good a short distances.
So now that I'm 26, I'm wondering if I could possibly change that. I would love to run. Really. But I get the *worst* shin splints. It's PAINFUL! So I don't run. I need to look into how to change that and maybe...just maybe I'd giving running a chance.
I hear and read that running is one of the best self challenges. I see all of the Biggest Loser contestants running....A MARATHON! How I'd love to set a goal like that and actually do it. I'm just scared. I'm just simply not a runner.

Anywhooooo,
I'm going to continue to work out with the Wii and eating right.

Also today is the start of a new awaking for me. I take things too seriously too much. I stress WAY MORE TOO MUCH! If you know me...you know that I do. It's just insane.
I hate having this heaving feeling on me...all the time. My husband feels it too and it's starting to affect us as a couple. So I aim to change that. I will not lose the most important man in my life to this crap. =-D

So. Here We Go!

I'm going to weight in every week on Monday and hopefully write some journals like my friend Barbara is. I think it helped when I did it in the past.

way to go melissa!!! good luck your exercise is fantastic! i just got a wii and wow they are a great fun workout!! sore spots everywhere!!
