Hey y'all, hope you had a terrific weekend and Father's Day. I'm still logging food and exercise, but I'm doing it on another site now. Since I'm eating from all ze food groups I decided to do that macro tracking and go at it from a IIFYM approach. The food tracker in myfitnesspal deducts calories from all macro categories as I eat them. It's a pretty neat and handy tool for anyone doing the macro thang. I'm still gonna check in here and whatnot, but I can't say I'm gonna miss comments from lookieloos about my diet! Lol

Although there is little movement in the scale the past few days, my sore muscles are telling me good things.... so is the tape measure. I last checked my measurements 2 months ago and I'm down another 8 inches off mah body for a total of 22 1/2 since February 19th. Me and my boobies couldn't be more pleased... I can now wear 3 more bras I had previously gotten too big for! Yayyy for my bewbies!👐😂👏😁

Dony they totally work differently. FS just gives you a total. MFP tells you what you have left to play with. For me that's a total game changer in meal planning now that I'm not focusing on 20 carbs as my only insane priority. Also, It doesn't cost me a penny. I don't really see a need to set my macros different for different days. Lol I'm not that fancy! 😜

I need to check that out, too. I am trying Christmas Abbotts plan and it is based on macronutrients, too.

Ya Houcarmm it can't hurt to check it out. You can even adjust the macro percentages to fit your needs. I didn't like what they generically set for me cal and macro wise so I used another app and went back in and changed it. I love it! They do reward you with more calories after you add exercise so I make sure to get my food planned out for the day before adding my workouts so there's no temptation to eat extra.

I like this tracker better. And love, love, love these ppl even the trolls. I skip their rants, but helps teach me " what not to do" too. We love you Christine, sending luv and hugs on your journey.

Love you back Sarah! I'm still here for the people. I'm completely private on that site. All I do there is track food and exercise and measurements.. I forgot to add that you can add in as many tracking points there as you like, so I'm able to track all inches lost head to toe now without having to write them down. It's such a bonus to see lbs and inches tracked on a screen.

I have a mental picture of a group of people all smiling and waving goodbye, colored scarves waving in the blue summer sky. The person is laughing and hugging everyone. Turns around to leave the room, then looks over her shoulder at the warm smiles and wet eyes. Her eyes widen, brows go up, she turns, plants her feet and exclaims, "I'm not going anywhere." IIFYM- If It Fits Your Macros, I'm not really familiar with the details but I believe it's another "guru" diet strategy, a lot of gym bro stuff, but I could be mistaken.

IIFYM is just a way to eat whoever so long as it fits within your target macros (carbs, protein, fats). The methodology is no different than LCHF that constrains you within target macros.
