Having a quiet morning, finally, after the heart attack scare. Dad is home, plans/medications are in place and all we can do is keep and eye on him and take one day at a time. The fact that he didn't feel anything is touchy, because he did not recognize his "anxiety" in his chest as his heart being in distress. Hopefully he understands now, and we can treat this. He is disappointed that there will be no knee replacement. He fears becoming crippled and becoming a burden. My mother lived her last years in a wheel chair and although she was not happy about it, we traveled and did most everything we wanted to do. He is 88 and lived a very full life. He has peace, but I know none of this is easy.
