Hi Morticia!!👱♀️, I am officially retired from Pinellas County Government after 31 years in Florida....This current job in Indiana, I am not totally thrilled about, Plus we are still looking to move to Illinois perhaps. I retired at 52, Lol will be 55 in December 7th, still looking to do something on a limited basis that I am happy with. Lol who knows I may go back to the election office seasonal, I really enjoyed that gig!!👱♀️🙂

Maine coon congratulations on you for having the foresight to be able to plan and retire so young!!!! I keep thinking about going back part time just for $$$ because i truly miss the flexibility of just doing what i want financially without having to consider no more paycheck. Are you wanting to leave Florida in general and if so can i ask why? We have talked about moving and that was one of the spots lightly discussed.

I left Florida 3 years ago, was tired of hot and hotter, the state has extreme heat. I am near Indianapolis Indiana, we love the weather, but not the crime. So far we are loving Illinois. Lol to be continued/ Also keep in mind Tampa Bay Area is very expensive

I dont think it could be worse than Seattle. Incredibly high property taxes, sales tax etc. and a very very democratic government bordering on socialism. Crime is sky high now. I think we are number one in nation for auto theft. Gee go figure. Defund the police a couple years ago happened. Sorry, little mad. Good for you sincerely!

I think crime has really risen around most major cities....some more than others. I have been thankful we settled in a more rural area. We're about an hour north of Atlanta, so can drive in, but have the more small town atmosphere. I like our weather....4 seasons but not as brutally hot or cold as going south or north would be. Maine coon, I lived in Indiana years ago with my first husband...his home town. We moved to Georgia to be closer to my family after 9 years.
