My journey started 11 weeks ago and there is a long way to go. Went to the doctors for the first time in 14 years. 281lbs. Blood pressure 187/137. Just destroyed myself in the last ten years. I have lots of excuses. Travel all the time for work. Work too hard. My wife got sick for awhile. Yada Yada Yada. Embarrassed as hell that I let it get to this.
Gave up fast food, soda, coffee, bread, lunch meat, and eating out. The first day of a trip I go to a grocery store and buy the calories I need and a case of water. In whatever city I am in I find local trails to walk. My first walk I barely made a block. My most recent was 7 miles.
I am happy about the progress I have made but embarrassed to no end that I did this to myself.
