Every Wednesday I am a nanny for a family in another city. Today we made chocolate chip cookies. I have a weakness for cookie dough. But I think I was reasonably good! I haven't eaten any cookies, but I did pull some cookie dough and looked up the points. I think I had about 4pts (3pts per ounce, plus I licked the mixers.... OKAY OKAY! And the bowl...). I Have also been very active today and have been very careful about sticking to my diet, so I have to keep reminding myself that I don't have to torture myself for eating a little bit of dough. I will be forced to be extremely active over the next few weeks because a client of mine is out of town and I'm pet sitting. This means three 30min walks a day, 7 days a week, for about the next 6 weeks. This is in addition to the dance class I take a school twice a week and the 5K running training I'm doing, which I plan on doing at least 3 days a week since I don't think my client's dog could handle it, but mine can, and need the work out anyway. In spite of all of this I still feel a bit guilty about eating the damn cookie dough. I know logically it isn't a big deal. I controlled the portion size and I am satisfied with what I had. I don't feel compelled to go eat 6 cookies now. I feel fine. But I had that terrible habit of over eating for so long that I'm used to feeling guilty for treating myself. Am I supposed to be this sleepy? I need a nap!
