My arm is doing a little better today, but at the trade off for a strained hamstring! I dont know what is wrong with me. My problem used to be not pushing it hard enough at the gym, now i'm apparently pushing it too hard.

I did HIIT on the elliptical last night, and my hamstrings were still really sore from saturday so i tried to be gentle, but half way through i started feeling bad for half assing it and pushed it to full speed. Right about that time my left hamstring completely seized up and i had to limp back to my car. :( I laid on the couch with icepacks for a while last night and my leg feels much better today, but i'm still taking an unplanned day off of the gym. I'd rather miss a day and be able to go full speed when i'm ready then chance injuring myself, yet again.

It's also that TOM so i am bloated, feeling like an obese cow and i'm having a really hard time talking myself out of raiding my co-worker's chocolate drawer.
Oh, and my son was up half of the night AGAIN last night after he had a nightmare about skeletons. Maybe i just need more coffee...

Sorry for the whiny post guys, just one of those days :P

That sounds like a sucky trade-off. At least you can use your right arm again though! Good idea taking a break from the gym today, let your body completely heal and rest before you jump back in there! Stupid TOM. No one is a fan...Aw poor kiddo! I wish I could trade dreams with him--I'm imagining things a kid would dream of when I close my eyes at night (too many talking dogs). Hopefully he gets a better night's rest tonight and lets his mama sleep! And I'm hoping your day gets better :)

Man, not a good start to your week! You definitely need to rest up for a bit. How much stretching you doing before killing yourself at the gym? Probably plenty, but thought I'd ask... Nothing worse than getting in a good gym routine then having it messed up by injury! Hang in there, and be easy on yourself. And my TOM does the same to me - I feel all around icky and I just want to eat 'till I pass out! I hope your boy sleeps better soon! Hard to recuperate when you're not getting enough sleep.

Thanks guys! Deb, i do always stretch, but i didnt saturday morning before that insane class that i took, which is what i think screwed me up so bad. I'm not even sure why i didnt... probably because it was 8 in the morning and i wasnt awake yet!
