I am going to face a real challenge to my progress here in a few months. My husband has been stationed elsewhere for the past few years. He would come visit for most holidays and every few weekends (when he wasn’t deployed of course). My eating habits improve drastically when he is gone for long stretches of time (one of the ONLY positive things to come out of it) mostly because I’m lazy and don’t want to make a huge elaborate meal for myself lol. Well, he is going to be stationed here very soon! We will be able to actually live as a family again!! And while I am on floating on cloud 9 just thinking of how wonderful it is going to be, (all the plans we can make, friends we can get together with, date nights, school events for our daughter that we can actually attend together) I’m a little concerned about my eating habits going back to what they used to be. I can’t expect him to eat what I eat everyday and I know I don’t have the self control to turn down the fatty options available for something healthier but much less tasty. I’m just not going to turn down lasagna in favor of a salad. My husband loves my cooking (well the old me cooking lol) and seeing as he has lived on fast food and ship food, which is gross for anyone that doesn’t know, how can I turn down his requests for dinner? It’s going to be a real struggle but I’m happy to go through anything with him by side! I just wish I was mentally stronger when it comes to food.
