Jessyline is absolutely right, why would I ever trade this for fast food? (I cooked this last year when visiting family in Paris. Splurged and got the truffle from Fauchon, the scallops were fresh from Brittany, and underneath the truffle slices was a risotto with chanterelle).

Oh...... You just made my night. Thank you for this beautiful picture. How, how is it possible to eat fast food when you know what food can be? A dish like this is heaven. I know we can't eat truffle every day, scallops are expensive too. But there is so much more to please the palate than a cheeseburger...

No, this is definitely not an everyday meal! :) And good food does not always have to be elaborate and expensive. One of my favorites activities/meals is making bread on and cold and snowy day and eat it fresh from the oven with a good slice of cheese or just butter.
