I calculated my daily caloric needs(http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie_calculator.htm#)
to lose about 2 lbs a week. I should be taking in 1,712 cals for fat loss or 1,400 cals for extreme fat loss. And both those numbers seem so high. I've only been eating 1,200-1,000 a day, so maybe eating more will help me lose. I'll just have to wait and see.
I've been walking 30-40 mins a day for the last 5 days! I want to make this an everyday thing. And I think it takes like 20 days or something to make it a habit, right?

How did you get that calculation? That does seem high. I eat about 1200 a day also.

yep. I have heard 21 days for a habit :) THos numbers sound about right from what I have been reading.

The calculators ask your weight, height gender etc. it is different for each person.

I agree with Sima. Those numbers should be right for you if you entered the correct info for your height, weight, gender. By eating so much less, you may be stalling your loss. Give the higher numbers a try (with good, healthy food) and see what happens!
