Hi, I am a 40 year old single mother of a 3 year old son. I recently left an abusive relationship with my son's father after 4 years and I decided to make a change in my life by getting healthier mentally, financially, emotionally, spiritually, and physically. In 2003, I had gastric bypass surgery at my top weight of 316 lbs. and 2 years later, I was down to 165 lbs when I got married. 3 years, 2 miscarrages and 1 stillbirth later, I was a single again and 35 pounds heavier, back up to 200+ lbs. Over the past 5 years, I have lost and gained the same 35 lbs. Even after having my son in 2010, I have not been able to get back to my preferred weight of 165 lbs. I currently started working with a really great trainer with a proven history of producing wonderful results with his clients. I also decided to stop eating fast food and consuming sweets, which is my weakness. I am using this website as a tool in this weight lost journey, hoping this will be a full lifetime change...good riddance to the "stubborn 35"!
