First Holiday party last night. I am feeling a little disappointed because there just doesn't seem to be any easy way to do this. Everything is fattening. Cheese logs, spinach dip, veggie dip, BBQ meatballs, chicken wings, nuts, baked brie, deli pinwheels, desserts, cheese cake, peanut butter bars, hershey's kisses the list goes on and on. Now I exaggerate EVERYTHING isn't really true. There were veggies for the dip and grapes. I am grateful I do not drink alcohol at all so that is no issue, otherwise I could not imagine how to handle those calories, too. So I ate like a thin person. (it's a great trick, just observe a thin person for the most part, small portions, small bites, chew before swallowing) I had a little of everything I wanted. I didn't overindulge in anything. I felt satisfied. I felt full. I didn't feel like I was left wanting. But it is disappointing to see those calories add up. Holiday calories seem to grow exponentially. What's up with that? They're like mutant calories.
