I'm pretty amazed at how much my appetite has decreased since I stopped most sugar, bread, beans and nearly all processed food four days ago. I am able to eat 1400 calories/day fairly comfortably and sometimes I have to add something in just to increase my calories above 1200. I've also cut down on the chronic exercise and I'm still losing weight (down another pound - I weigh less than I did before vacation!) My goal is 2-3 days of strength training and a 1-2 long(ish) bike rides per week if I can squeeze it in in September.

Great Job! I tried getting rid of everything and went into severe withdrawal, so I have backed off and am doing things one at a time. I have upped my fruits and veggies, cut out white pasta and eat bread sparingly. I have cut back on caffeine and drink no calorie sodas. I know I need to get rid of these things, but am not quite ready yet.

Thanks, Kathy. I may have actually overdone it a bit. I just found out I have shingles today
