My scale hasn't moved for days.. darn. I even worked out - I was feeling down, but I can't let that get me (normally I would). I will keep plugging away and not let the numbers mess with my head. My instant reaction is to give up if I don't lose any weight from the prior day. I think I used to work out so much (almost 2 hours a day) that I was used to seeing some come off every day. I now work full time, and don't exercise but 3-4 times a week for 40 mins if I can.

Hitting a plateau can be very frustrating. Sometimes plateaux happen because your metabolism slows down in response to getting too few calories. Perhaps you need to up your calorie intake? (in protein and complex carbs, rather than sugar and fats). 1200 cals a day is the minimum your body needs, and more if you're exercising. Eating less than this may result in rapid weight loss but it sends your body into starvation mode, so the minute you eat more it'll grab the food and store it as fat, with the weight piling back on. Better to go for more sustainable, regular intake of a daily 1200+. Good luck anyway!

It can be extremely frustrating to not see that needle going down. I agree with startrekker, make sure you are getting adequate calories for your exercising routine. I weigh myself 2 days a week, on Monday and on Friday. I will not be ruled by the numbers on that scale. I also exercise moderately. I do an hour to an hour and a half of exercises in a pool. You have to make sure you don't get caught in the exercise trap. Compulsive exercising is actually considered an eating disorder. Take a step back, take a deep breath and slow down a little. When you take the weight off too fast, it comes right back, plus some more. Take a little time, exercise to enjoy exercising, not exercise because that burns the calories you ate!! Good luck!!
