@Gemmerkoekies - You may find that the sudden reduction in carbs will have a few slightly unpleasant side effects in the first week; like fatigue, dizzy spells, irritability, cravings & even muscle cramps (due to fluid + salt being dumped from kidneys). These will pass after a few days if you stick with it & don't give in to the carbs. This is all part of the body's adaption process to fueling on fat. The way our bodies worked many years ago before introducing carbs. If you get cramps, take some salt. This very low carb diet flushes sodium more readily from your kidneys, so you'll need to make sure you consume up to about 5g of sodium a day. Some people swear by a mug of chicken broth when they feel weak while others find a small piece of cheese or butter does the trick. Don't forget to drink approx 2 litres of water a day :)
