I can’t keep dieting for more than three days. Ugh... i hate to start over and over and over... i feel like a failure each time! 😔

You are doing great! Don't despair; the scale is just one measurement of success. Maybe time to focus on NSV (non scale victories): do you feel strong & healthy? Can you wear pants that were once tight? Do you love your calves more? LOL Focus on the positive! Maybe your body would like to eat lighter for 2 days and a bit more on third day? Just cycle the calories/carbs, keeping a nutritious balance? You will figure out what works for YOUR body :)

I’m in the same place right now- maybe give yourself permission to eat at maintenance for a few weeks and then see if you feel renewed motivation! I think sometimes we just need a break

hello Bianca I had a similar problem, I've being trying to quit smoking for the past 5 years and I finally quit this month, never stop trying and you will succeed eventually, those who never try never fail. wish you the best of luck!

hi Bianca, don't give up.. mist people give up when are facing these situations. you are stronger than this .. a silly question.. do you eat enough?? have you check your BMR? try to add a little exercise..

Hey Lou, i have skim milk for breakfast, any kind of homemade stew at home or protein with veggies, and at night its either egg white omelette with veggies or a small light cheese sandwish. But in the afternoon i snack on almonds and cashews and hazelnut, those are the worst calorie wise!! I up my intake with almost 300 calories just by snacking!!! I exercice usually 20min per day, aerobics, today i did 15min cardio and 15 min kettlebells. I sure hope can keep it up!!!!

Hi Bianca, watch that snaking.. Too many of those aren't good , I do workout every other day and I have about 9 almonds a day to keep intake of good fat and potassium, also 1/2 avocado. And that is already my full day allowance of Fat. If you do exercise you still need to feed your body just stay below of your total daily intake, otherwise whatever you eat it will be stored Let's say that your total day allowance is 1500Kcal / 4 or how many times you want to eat Let's say 4 .. 1500 / 4 = 375 kcal for that meal .. To sta in calories deficit remove the 100 kcal or more. So that meal would be 275 or 250 kcal Preferably most of that kcal wold be protein

Ohhhh waaaawwwww Lou!! Thanks for breaking it down for me like that! Never thought of it that way! I just have a total amount for the whole day, and it varies sometimes for each meal! But breaking it down like that is so much better!!!

Hang in there Bianca. You've been on Fatsecret since I started and have been an inspiration for me. I divide my calories into three healthy meals and never snack. Each meal has protein (skim milk, kefir, meat, fish, egg, tofu, plain 0% fat yogurt, nuts/seeds), low-calorie veggies (broccoli, kale, cauliflower, peppers), fruit (blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, apple) and small servings of whole grains. I eat sweet potatoes for the fibre and nutrients but not a huge portion. I use a small digital scale to weigh things like nuts 'cause they are super high in calories. I think the snacking is a huge problem for many of us. If you can eat enough protein spaced throughout the day and drink lots of plain liquids like water or tea that might help. Try not to "diet" but instead just eat healthy stuff in a balanced way. That way you just eat the same way every day, except for those family and friends dinners and restaurant meals.

Hang in there! I used to smoke and it's not the fact that you start smoking again it's the fact you keep trying to quit. I've been on FS for 10 years! I'm back again and I try not to call it a diet, "it's a healthy life change and healthy food choices" keep starting to eat right eventually it can stick.

That is a good idea Liv! Is that okay for the body? To take 200 calories away from daily calories for two days then add them on a day in the week when cravings happen? If so that would be much more manageable. To have higher calorie allotment for those rough days. However, my calorie intake is 1200 which from what I have read online is the lowest a female should go because the body needs 1200 to just survive. If I took 100 or 200 cals away for a day of indulgence would I still be okay? hmm something to think about.

Tmoves, I manage to eat 140g of carbs, 70g of protein and 30g of healthy fat every day for a 1000 calories a day. I workout in the morning then have a nice meal afterwards. I can survive the whole day on just 1000 calories and i feel full. Soni think it depends in the body and level of activity. Good luck
