My weight seems to have stagnated. Not gaining...but not losing either. My scale gives me different readings when I step off and then right back on again. So, step one is I ordered a new scale. I will weigh in again once I have gotten the new scale and know it is accurate. I just "feel" heavy and bloated. It will be here Tuesday. Also, I have slowly gone from 1,500 cals a day to 1,600 to now 1,700 and 1,800 many days. I am having trouble again with that nighttime eating. I fast 16 hours, so I am cramming those calories into an 8 hour window. I tell myself each day that I won't eat the extra bowl of cereal or whatever, and each night I find myself eating to excess. Ugh, I guess I need more willpower. But, how can I be so strong and efficient in all areas of my life except for this? Oh well. The battle continues. I am not giving up this time!

My last two scales did likewise, so I weighted my self three times, and took the last reading; it never seemed to change. I do this each day that I weigh in.

Oh my goodness, there is a big difference. You need to put these two pictures up next to each other to see it! Keep to your plan, and it will be so positive in your life. I know it will take a long time. How much older will you be in a year or two if you keep going down. How much older will you be in a year or two if you give up. I know our skin is wrinkled by losing, but it may tighten up somewhat if you do intermittent fasting for part of each day. I am very wrinkled but I can get into all my old clothes. Yea! I'd rather be wrinkled. Beside we look better in our clothes. Maybe you can exercise later, I am limited in that department. Muscle weighs more than fat. This is going to be so, so much more healthy for you. Congratulations!!!!!

You are asking for motivation today. Going back to your profile, I see you joined FS in December when I did. I am so proud of you for stopping your substance abuse in 2014. You said something like your back is a big problem. There is a wonderful book “End Back Pain Forever” by Norman Marcus, that you can buy used from Abebooks.com for 3.99 including shipping. Right now the first couple of books are only “Fair” quality. But for 4.35 they have one rated “Very Good”. I have never bought “Fair” quality. Many “Very Good” books you can't tell from new. If I really want one, I will settle for “Good,” but keep scrolling down to see the price difference for a better copy. You will see lesser quality for even a higher price, it all depends on what the seller wants. This is a big $16.00 book. If you bought new you would pay about $4. for shipping itself. I love Abe books. Make sure to “Sort By” Lowest total price which includes shipping. My son-in-law follows this book faithfully, and it has really helped him.

Thank you Snow White for the encouragement! I had knee surgery in February and still can't do much for exercise other than a slow walk. as far as my back, it is much better. I was taking Simvastatin for my cholesterol and my Dad mentioned all the joint pain he had when taking the same medication. I quit taking the Simvastatin and my back pain pretty much resolved. Amazing that a medication could cause such debilitating pain. Also, like you, I am doing intermittent fasting which really helps me stay on track. I can still "overeat" in the evenings and stay within my calories. Thank you again for you support.
