My boyfriend has been trying to diet with me with little success. I have been using a simple calorie deficit. He is 5'11" and 360+ pounds, so we are desperate for him to shed some pounds. He has been unable to get the appetite under control, so I thought, and he agreed, he'd give Keto a try and see if he would have some success that way. I have done an old style Atkins diet in the past, but never keto, and would love any suggestions for someone just beginning keto. Here is what he ate so far today:
Breakfast: bacon two strips, one sausage patty, 2 eggs cooked in bacon grease and 1/4 cup cheddar cheese.
Lunch: 7 oz. cheddar and jalapeno smoked sausage with 1/4 cup onions & peppers fried in 2T vegetable oil.
Dinner: 16 oz. shrimp cooked in 2T olive oil with 3/4 green beans and 1T butter.
FYI: He is a type 2 diabetic and has high blood pressure. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I think he is finally on board with losing weight, so I want to do all I can do to support him.
